This bur is used with push button handpieces for very large teeth where access is difficult. Avoid using excessive force with these burs, as the extra length of these burs could bend and cause damage to the handpiece. FG stands for friction grip and can only be used with push button handpieces. Round burs are useful for creating access holes, removing buccal bone, creating a moat around root fragments and smoothing alveolar bone. They are available in 19 mm and 25 mm (surgical) lengths. Bur sizes range from #¼ to #10. The most commonly recommended round burs for veterinary dentistry are the #¼ and #½ for felines and the #2 and #4 for canines.
