The HS4W Counter Top Dental Unit (54230) is a compact, table top unit designed for counter top use or underneath wet tables. Combining functionality with convenience, this unit offers LED lighted handpieces, automatic tool holders, dual water bottles, water purge system and a space-saving footprint (22" x 27"), making it ideal for busy clinics and smaller spaces. A separate compressor, also sold individually, can be positioned near or in a dental suite.

- High Speed Swivel Handpiece with LED Lighting: An LED high speed handpiece for tooth sectioning. It has a built-in swivel which alleviates strain to the veterinarian’s wrist, allowing for more precise cutting. Sectioning a tooth is defined by cutting the tooth into its individual roots. This makes tooth extraction easier, faster and less traumatic to the patient and veterinarian.
- Piezo Scaler Handpiece with LED Lighting: An LED built-in piezo scaler makes teeth cleaning efficient, simple and thorough. Piezo technology is a gentle ultrasonic scaling technology that is safe for the patient and technician. The piezo handpiece is the “work horse” of the dental unit since it is typically used for every cleaning procedure.
- Low Speed Handpiece “Polisher”: A low speed polisher is necessary any time the teeth are cleaned (ultrasonic scaling or hand scaling). This removes the micro etching caused by the scraping of the scaler tools. Polishing gives the tooth a smooth surface, helping inhibit surface area for plaque to grow.
- Three-Way Air / Water Syringe: Ideal for rinsing patients' mouths. One button is for water only, one button is for air only, when these buttons are depressed together, a fine mist makes an ideal option for post-procedure rinsing.
- Automatic Tool Holders: Each cradle for the individual handpieces has an automatic trigger inside. This makes workflow convenient and streamlined, since the tool only becomes active when it is removed from the cradle.
- Efficient Water System: Equipped with two water bottles with easy toggling between the bottles, a water on/off toggle for each handpiece and an air purge feature to remove water from the lines. Purging (blowing out) the water from the lines helps keep bacterial growth to a minimum, enhancing infection control measures.
- Durable Construction: Built with a powder-coated metal frame and heavy-duty casters for smooth mobility across various floor types.
